Greetings from your blog hosts, My name is Dr. Michael DePietro ( Mike) and my co blogging host is my oldest son, Thomas DePietro ( Tom)
I am a Medical doctor, and specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine. My partner in this endeavor is my son, Thomas. As this blog evolves, Tom will be a college student with dual majors in neuroscience and philosophy. We share interests in baseball, especially sabermetrics, biological science, and traditional Catholicism, as long as “traditional” does not mean wandering too far off, into some schismatic fever swamp. Perhaps, as a result of having an affection for things which rely on measurable data ( baseball… stats etc.. ), We think that assertions actually require evidence in support of them! This applies to statements about the faith as well. We do not claim to be theologians, canon lawyers, or even particularly holy. (Though We are trying to “work out our salvation in fear and trembling” as St Paul says…) We do think facts matter and most of the time the facts are readily accessible, require no particularly deep theological insight to grasp, and will simply speak for themselves if allowed to do so. We promise to try and serve up some facts for your interest. Welcome and thanks for visiting.
